Law Creation

Law Creation

Many V5 functions offer the possibility to define feature properties using laws whether it is a length, an angle or a parameter. For instance, the angle of a drafted surface can be constant, but it could also vary from one value to another through any intermediate values.
In GSD, the Swept Surface parameters can change along the guide curve, such as the angle of linear sweep with reference surface.
To create a law, various methods can be used, depending on the commands involved. 1/A panel lets you define the law type: constant, linear or S-type.

The "Advanced" option requires the selection of user-defined laws.

The GSD Law icon provides you with another simple way to create a law: create two sketches describing the parameter evolution and that is it!

Third possible method: the KWA workbench lets you define a law using an equation.
